Come, follow me!

(the title is really only funny if you remember back to my student teaching days and the song that made me swear at my jr. high students.  Anyone?  anyone remember that?  Oh, well.  I chuckled.  and cringed, a little.)

Um... new digs: www.imlearningasigo.blogspot.com come check me out... thats where we landed.  Thanks for your faithful following... xanga's been fun, but it's time to move on. Much love!

We are moving

Sooo... xanga is annoying me.  And there are thoughts of a move, or maybe a shut down.  Probably a move, you know I can't resist the temptation to blog.  Seeing as how this blog has a known following of approx 3 people, I assume the masses shall go on unaffected.  And all three of you can check me out at my new home, when/if i decide i shall land there I will let you know.
Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Concerns? Money or food?

12 things you probably didn't know about me:

12) I grind my teeth when I am concentrating very hard.
11) I can't sleep with socks on.
10) I secretly think myself to be a little more intellegent than my co-workers.
9) My left hand is slightly smaller than my right.
8) I prefer bar soap to body wash.
7) I make a tunnel of pillows and blankets to sleep in becuase I hate a big empty bed.
6) There is an exceptionally large bump on the back of my skull (I would look ridiculous bald)
5) I hate wearing a watch.
4) When I have used half the bottle, I fill the rest with water to make my conditioner last longer. (Becuase I am cheap!)
3) I eat exactly 24 frosted mini wheats in each bowl. No more, no less.  If there are only 23 left in the box, I don't get a bowl of cereal that day.
2) My belly button is slightly tear drop shaped, and I think thats kinda cool.
1) I get exceptionally excited when my phone rings becuase I really don't get calls that often.

A good memory, a bad dream, and fleeting thought

To this day I cannot make it through "The trumpet shall sound" bass aria in the Messiah without suffering a small fit of giggles.  Forget even being able to look at your face, and there is no way we would make it sitting next to each other.  Were we inappropriate? Yes.  Did we make a memory, yes.  I shall always hold dear to my heart the story we composed with the trumpet, the bulging vein, the blood on the tux, and the general mayhem as boys cried.  In fact... I am laughing right now just recalling it.  My score is still marked on #43: "Don't look at Becca and Mandie", though it did little to help me maintain my composure.

Last night I fell asleep snuggling with the boy... and woke up in the arms of the Ex.  Confused and angry, I yelled for someone to tell me what was going on, and was told "Not every one gets a second chance, and of the people who do-- you are not deserving."  Oh, Lord, what a mess. The harder I fought to flee the situation the stronger the arms were that kept me there, and the more foolish I felt for being happy... I was desperate to get away, and find him, and beg him not to leave me even though I am a basket case probably, honestly undeserving of this happiness... I was biting back tears, because no one like a crier... and I was startled awake (for real awake) by a blow to the stomach and found myself back in my bed, with my stupid dog bouncing around on top of me... and he was still there next to me. <big sigh of relief> Undeserving?  Probably. Lucky? Maybe. Blessed? Definitely.

I am reading a book right now that you would really like.  I think your new girlfriend is really cute.  We are having a pumpkin carving party, and I wish you could come. I heard that song you used to sing to make me laugh. I miss your face.  I want to call you to tell you about all those things... and maybe more, but it's probably a bad idea.  Anyway... I think you know what I mean.  I'll call you with the big news.

Randomness

*Soooooo... I heard this song the other day that reminded me of you.  But it is perhaps a tad inappropriate... which is why you probably won't be hearing it from me.  But I have been singing it all day... Stay awake, you'll hear it.
*DO NOT change your soap if you have one you are happy with... it is a very dramatic process getting back to the right kind.  In short... I smell funny.
*My new sheets are so stinking amazing!  I wish I had more opportunity to use them.  I think sometime soon i am going to have to make arrangements for a play hooky and stay in bed all day with your new sheets kind of day. Anyone want to play hooky with me? Please note, it will be a BYOSheets occasion.  You know I don't share sheets.  ew.
*I miss my old roommates.  I miss the ice cream on the "couch", the interventions, the bears, the sound of music sing-a-longs, the rolls of toilet paper becuase if you were going to cry you didn't get expensive kleenex, the strange things Debbie would eat, the conversations over IM from the other side of the couch, and even... knowing when you had the flu the toilet would probably be clean for you to puke in.  Yeah... you guys were/are great!
*I've been in a bit of a funk this week, so i decided the best way to cure that was obviously a pedicure... and it helped considerably.  My feet look and feel fantastic, and thats the best way to start.  My boss is not going to be at work tomorrow, so i am totally wearing heels... and there will be no one to mock me for clacker accross the floor.  FANTASTIC.
*I have very effective conflict resolution skills.
*Oh, fun.  By the time I am finishing writing this post your song referenced at the very beginning is playing... what are the odds? <smile>
